ALEXANDER T. PAPPAS, CPA

Alex has been a Certified Public Accountant (NC #33300) since 2007 and founded Alex Pappas, CPA, P.A. in 2017. He has a passion for getting to know people and helping them to develop and grow their business or organization. His clients often commend him for having integrity, sincerity, and thoughtfulness.
Alex has over twenty-five years of experience with nonprofit organizations, including 10 years of experience working for a large nonprofit. He has helped many organizations obtain or reinstate their tax-exempt status.
Originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, Alex attended East Carolina University on a music scholarship and graduated in the summer of 1990. He received a masters degree in Management (Nonprofits) from Regent University in 2000, and a masters degree in Accounting from East Carolina University in 2006.
Alex is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (NCACPA). His is also a Notary Public with the State of North Carolina.
Alex and his wife are active members of Covenant Church and served with the church’s Acts 1 college ministry for 10 years. He is a member of the East Carolina University Parents Association and is a former board member, officer, and advisor of several nonprofit organizations.
Alex and his wife, Dee, met in the fall of 1987 while in college at ECU, and have been married since 1990. They have 2 daughters – Savannah and Caroline. Alex enjoys attending ECU football and baseball games, visiting the mountains of North Carolina and Tennessee, and taking trips with his brothers.
